How and why you are in difficulties if you want to translate keywords into different languages.

It aint easy to translate content automagically in a way that a user can have an understandable text he wants to read in his native language when the basetext is in an other language. That was said a thousand times and is subject to a lot of documents you can find via web. That content can not always be translated into another language and still makes sense has to do with, and that has been proved often too, the complexity of language.

But that simple keywords, or definitions that are declared in a mapping table, can not be given to the user in his language without getting into serious trouble, that is truly astounding.

Wie und warum man in ziemliche Schwierigkeiten kommt wenn man Schlüsselwörter übersetzen will.

Das es schwierig ist Inhalte in mehrere Sprachen automatisiert so zu übersetzen, das die Anwender den entsprechenden Text in ihrer jeweiligen Landessprache lesen können, ist Gegenstand vieler Arbeiten die man im Web finden kann. Das Inhalte nicht immer und notwendigerweise sinnvoll in eine andere Sprache übersetzt werden können liegt, auch das ist vielfach bewiesen worden, an der Komplexität von Sprache an und für sich.
Aber das einfache Schlüsselwörter, oder Begriffe die in einer Mapping Tabelle vorhanden sind, nicht direkt umgesetzt werden können. Das ist dann doch wieder erstaunlich.

A chance gone by or consciously not using a possible solution. Sometimes I as a developer ask myself if IBM is not able to fix little annoyances or simply does not want to do that.

Oder warum man keine neuen Wege gehen darf.

Eine verpasste Chance oder bewusstes nichteinsetzen möglicher Lösungen. Manchmal fragt man sich als Entwickler schon ob IBM kleine Fehler nicht beheben kann oder vielleicht einfach nicht will.
