Combining two Open Source products to get some new value out of them
Over at OpenNTF, the part of the community where you should start looking if you want to see some really cool apps there is a new project available which is call “Task Management”. You can find it here.
And believe me the guys who build this did a really good job in putting something together that seems to be tiny and small but could have an impact on how you do your work especially when your are looking at the GTD method.
My boss over here had a little problem that we needed to have some overview about tasks for a specific project. so we spoke today in the morning and i decided to give it a try. I put one view and a webservice into our copy of !!HELP!!. Changed some entries in the view to get what i wanted to have and changed the entries in the webservice too.
One additional field in a subform that we will use to decide whether this specific todo is task related or not. A smooth installation of a sidebar plugin via the delivered installation database and some configuration and i am done.
